Press Release: Axiom Audio Expands to 37 Countries
Axiom Audio says its capability runs to 202 countries and six different currencies.

08.07.2008 — DWIGHT, Ontario — Axiom Audio, a world leader in quality loudspeaker manufacturing, has taken the art of customer care to an unprecedented level in the past year through its customized fabrication program. From its construction studio in Dwight, Ontario, 160 miles north of Toronto, Axiom manufactures individualized, one-of-a-kind loudspeakers for discriminating audio lovers—at a fraction of the cost of typical custom designs—in any of six real-wood veneers, six stain options, three gloss finishes, three accessory metals, and six grille colors. For those who prefer synthetic finishes, Axiom offers any combination of sixteen vinyl finishes and six grille colors.

The result: an astounding 2,082 possible renderings for any Axiom Audio speaker, manufactured and shipped anywhere in the world in six weeks or less.

"The ability of Axiom Audio to accommodate the needs of individual customers is unmatched in the audio world today," said Ian Colquhoun, President of Axiom Audio. "Not only are we able to create totally unique products for our clients, but we also can ship to virtually any country on the planet. In the past 12 months we've fabricated customized speakers for individuals in 37 countries, from the United States and Canada to Japan, the Philippines, Chile, Slovenia, Mauritius, Trinidad, China, even Vanuatu. Our capability runs to 202 countries and six different currencies. For quality audio products, there's no need we can't satisfy."

Custom Matching

Yet Axiom Audio's ability to customize speakers to fit unique install and design parameters goes even further. Beyond its real-wood cabinet options—knotty pine, walnut, cherry, oak, maple and rosewood—additional exotic species can be specified. Axiom will also custom-match any wood sample supplied by the customer.

Once a speaker order is placed, Axiom's studio creates a wood sample of the stain, gloss and accessories, which is then shipped to the customer for his or her approval. The customer's go-ahead initiates the building and finishing process, executed totally by hand. In the case of Axiom's high-gloss piano finishes, the process includes twelve coats of hand-applied lacquer, with multiple sandings between.
