AVAD to Sell Current Audio
Current Audio has signed a North American distribution deal with AVAD. Current Audio's complete line will be available at every AVAD branch in North America.
Current Audio has entered into a strategic distribution partnership with AVAD. Current Audio’s complete line will be stocked and available at every AVAD branch in North America before the end of October 2011.
"It’s our constant effort to offer our customers an extensive array of installation solutions that meet the needs of residential and commercial applications alike,” says Hugh Hughes, senior merchandising manager, custom/audio of AVAD. "Current Audio is a brand with a mission quite parallel to ours - one that’s focused on bringing solutions-based innovations to the custom installation market. This partnership was a clear fit.”
Current Audio's veteran team includes audio experts with installation and design experience. Every product is built considering the needs of today’s custom integrator, from concept to construction, according to the company.
“All of our products are designed and engineered at our California facility and then produced in exclusive factories in Asia, ensuring a standard of excellence that we’re proud to stand behind,” says Sean McDermott, president of Current Audio. "Coming from many years of being on the integrator side of the business, I feel confident in saying that our team really gets what the AVAD customer needs when it comes to manufacturing audio products - from ease of installation, to margin, to performance," he added.
"We’re huge fans of AVAD’s focus on training and support. It’s a clear commitment to their customers and the custom installation market as a whole,” adds Hal Truax, newly appointed vice president of business development. “We welcome this opportunity to grow our businesses together, and we’re pumped to kick things into gear at our first Vendopalooza in Dallas, Texas, on October 20.”

You should have used ADI as the distributor. Too many times have U been turned off by AVAD’s horrible phone system and stock availibilty. I call my local rep here in MD and get transfered across the country to someone in CA that doesn’t know who I am. I am fed up with AVAD.

AVAD understands our industry. All of the people from the top down at AVAD has rolled out the welcome mat and made the introduction of Current Audio a top priority. Our roll out was easy and well received at each branch. The customers are excited to have our products.
