Autonomic MCS 3.0 Upgrade Adds iPhone App, RadioTime

Autonomic Controls, Inc. has released its Mirage Media Control System 3.0 (MCS), an upgrade (free for Version 2 customers) that adds RadioTime integration along with an iPhone app.

The Mirage Media Control System 3.0 is a control solution for integrating digital media and streaming Internet content. MCS already provides two-way control of iTunes, Windows Media Center, Media Player, Pandora and Sirius Internet Radio and has pre-built modules for AMX, Crestron, HAI, RTI and URC.

The new Mirage Media Controller (MMC) app turns an iPhone or iPod Touch into a controller that will allow users to orchestrate media playback from anywhere in the home. With the Mirage Media Controller app, users can access and play their entire media collection, including multiple iTunes and Windows Media collections, Sirius XM, Pandora, and thousands of free Internet radio stations with RadioTime.

The MMC app intuitively helps users build their music collection. For example, if you hear something you like on any source, a single button press creates a customized Pandora station that helps to discover more music to love by playing back content with a similar style.

When used with the Mirage Media Control System, the Mirage Media Controller app will allow remote control of iTunes, Windows Media Center, Windows Media Player and any of the streaming sources complete with metadata, album art, and full media browsing.

Integrates with Control Systems
For professional A/V installers, the Mirage Media Controller app will communicate over IP with Crestron, AMX, and other control systems to relay zone/source selection, volume, and power commands to the central automation processor. The Mirage Media Controller app requires the Autonomic Mirage Media Server or the Mirage Media Control System, both available separately.

The Media Control System 3.0 upgrade also works with the Mirage Media Server (MMS) which keeps digital content in an Internet cloud to allow access to stored content and streaming media from anywhere. The MMS, which has a 1 TB hard drive, automatically copies a user’s content to a secure, online “digital locker” or Cloud where it can be accessed and shared with an iPhone, iPad, computer, TiVo, Wii, Playstation, Xbox or other streaming device. The MCS 3.0 upgrade automatically synchronizes multiple devices in remote locations.
