LEXINGTON, KY., July 10, 2007 - The AVAtrix HD Routing System now has an optional audio interface for whole house audio systems. The Model 1172 is a single rack unit interface for the AVAtrix that makes the audio from all of the connected sources available to an independent audio distribution system. It connects to the AVAtrix internal bus and offers six outputs. Each output includes analog audio, digital audio, and an infrared output for control signals originating at the Wallplates.
The 1172 is designed to accommodate audio systems that have their own built-in switching, or audio systems that employ a dedicated amplifier for each zone.

-Six audio inputs from internal AVAtrix bus cable?
-Six audio outputs (analog stereo and coaxial digital)
-Infrared output jack for IR pathway from remote Wallplates
-Rack mountable
