Audio Authority released a new Model of its AVX-562 Matrix Routing System at CEDIA Expo 2008.
The second-generation AVX-562 is a six-input, six-output HD Cat 5 Matrix expandable up to 36 outputs.
It distributes HD component video, analog audio, digital audio and IR control up to 1,000 feet via a pair of Cat 5e/6 cables.
Other new features include:
The AVX-562 also has options for three Cat 5 receivers, which the company says converts the Cat5e/6 run to usable form. Each receiver Active Gain Equalization (AGE) technology.
Options include: a single-gang "Decora" style wall plate (Model 9879), a dual-gang stainless steel wall plate (Model 9878) and a surface-mount breakout box (Model 9880).
The AVX-562 will be available in October for $2,799. The Cat 5 receivers are sold separately for $200-$220 each.
The company also introduced the HDP-11 HDMI extender, which transmits HDMI signals over Cat5e/6 cables up to 450 feet (120 meters).
HDP-11 supports resolutions up to 1080p at 60Hz, and gain and EQ controls on the company's 1381R receiver optimize the digital and analog signals.
MSRP is $595 in September.
Audio Authority's 1385 is a turn-key VGA-to-HDMI converter that outputs resolutions up to 1080p at 60Hz.
The converter automatically detects the resolution of the destination HDMI display and offers overscan and aspect ratio adjustments.
Other adjustments include: contrast, brightness, hue, saturation, sharpness and RGB levels.
The 1385 converter, which has separate digital and analog audio inputs and outputs, will ship in September for $399.
