Plus, sister company Paradigm shows "real" versions of prototype speakers and subwoofers shown at CEDIA
01.09.2009 — Anthem, developer of high-performance A/V processors, is teaming up with JVC and SI Screens to deliver complete home theater packages.
"Our intention is to bundle projectors, processors and screens," says
Jack Shafton, director of sales and marketing for Anthem's sister company Paradigm.
The JVC product will be branded Anthem, but the screens will keep their SI names, Shafton says.
The bundles should be available by the end of Q1.
What they
won't include are Paradigm speakers, says Shafton, but Paradigm is doing some pinch-hitting of its own. The manufacturer of high-performance speakers will take on international distribution of SI Screens.
At CES, in the Venetian Suites, Paradigm is showing "all the [prototype] products we showed at CEDIA, but now they're for real."
Shafton says that Paradigm is faring well, despite the economic downturn.
"One of the nice things about Paradigm is that we do make affordable speakers – down to $200," he says. "A lot of high-end speaker companies don't have that."
