Airport Transportation
SuperShuttle, Cabs, Limos, Buses
06.08.2007 — The Denver International Airport is 25 miles from downtown Denver, where the convention center is located.
Last year, CEDIA had a coupon on the airport Super Shuttle for a $17 ride to the Convention Center area. This year, the coupon is for $19, a savings of exactly $0 off the regular price of $19. What gives?
Here's more scoop on transportation.
SuperShuttle
The Denver Super Shuttle costs $19 per person each way from airport to downtown hotels.
CEDIA offers a coupon (pdf) for $19 one-way and $30 roundtrip. That's right, there's no savings off the regular price! (Last year, you got $2 off. Oh well. Keep checking coupon, maybe it'll get better.)
Buy your ticket at the SuperShuttle counter at the baggage claim level. The counter is open from 7 am to 11 pm.
Bus
The RTD's skyRide bus service costs $6 to $10, depending on where you're going. A trip between the airport and downtown is $8 one-way and $14 round trip. The skyRide Website has easy instructions on how to use this service.
Here is the map that shows how to pick up the bus from the airport.
Cab
A taxi from the airport to downtown Denver should cost around $45-$50. Several cab companies offer flat rates. In the case of Yellow Cab, it's $43 plus $3.50 in airport fes.
Town Car/Limo
A cursory check of the Internet suggests the going rate for a Town Car to downtown Denver is $55 plus 20% gratuity and airport fees (around $3). Check, for example Lazaar Limousine (303-514-4057) and DIA Transportation (303-514-4057).
For slightly larger groups, DIA Luxury Transportation (720-934-9470) charges just $10 more for a stretch limo (1-6 passengers).
