ADA Intros TS-8611 Touchscreen for A/V Control
Touchscreen fits in standard single-gang electrical box and connects with CAT-5 cable.
The new TS-8611 touchscreen from Audio Design Associates (ADA) offers A/V control from a 240 x 320 TFT LCD display.
According to ADA, the touchscreen fits inside a standard single-gang electrical box and connects to the system with a CAT-5 cable.
The TS-8611 provides “creature comforts” such as tone controls, an alarm clock, sleep timer, auto-dimming and the ability to control other rooms.
It's compatible with ADA’s Suite 16, Suite 8x8, Suite 8200 and SWAN distributed audio systems.
Once a component is playing, the TS-8611 automatically switches to a “now playing” screen that displays up to five lines of information. When used to control an ADA tuner, an iPod or music server, users can scroll through channels, genres, playlists, artists, songs, albums and more by name.
ADA says the TS-8611 will ship later this month for $699.
