According to Oregan Networks, your clients want a connected HDTV.
The company recently released a study that found 71 percent of respondents prefer their next HDTV to feature a built-in media browser.
The ability to access Video on Demand services without a PC is the most valuable feature of a TV media browser, according to the study. Online services such as YouTube and Hulu, as well as Netflix and CinemaNow add the most value to a TV set, said the survey respondents.
Maybe that explains why these connected TVs have been rolled out like hot cakes recently. Many of the following HDTVs were rolled out and/or displayed at CES 2009 in Las Vegas.
Samsung was especially busy at the show, adding the Yahoo! Widget Engine to several lines of HDTVs:
