Earlier this year Crestron announced a partnership with Origin Acoustics, and as part of that alliance, the company introduced its DM NAX amplifier.
According to Crestron, the DM NAX, all-in-one audio over IP amplifier is now shipping.
Crestron explains the DM NAX provides integrators with a scalable solution that delivers complete control of an audio environment to allow homeowners to switch between TV, streaming music, podcasts, doorbells, alarms and even paging/intercom systems.
The N.J.-based manufacturer emphasizes that integrators familiar with its DM NVX products will find working with the DM NAX a similar experience. The new DM NAX provides the ability to support 256 stereo zones, and the product provides interoperability with AES67 and the Dante digital audio platform.
Crestron’s new AV over IP all-in-one amplifier is also designed for fast and easy installation for authorized dealers.
Some of the features built into the AV over IP amplifier include a choice of streaming services such as Pandora and Internet radio. The amp also includes a choice of 40 built-in door chimes for alerts like doorbells and door openings.
The latest Crestron amplifier is also compatible with its Crestron Home platform and Crestron One solution.
Additionally, the DM NAX will soon offer Apple AirPlay 2, SiriusXM, Spotify Connect, Amazon Connected speakers, and iHeart Radio. Later in 2021 via firmware updates, Crestron will add Amazon Music, Deezer Quboz and TIDAL.
