Vudu Offers HD Disney, Buena Vista Movies for Purchase

Vudu is now offering 60 titles from both Disney and Buena Vista Home Entertainment for download-to-own in HD and Vudu's HDX format.

This marks the first time that Disney and Buena Vista have offered their movies for download-to-own in HD.

Vudu says future Disney and Buena Vista movies will be available for download-to-own on the same day the Blu-ray/DVD title is released.

Some of the available titles include:

• No Country for Old Men
• The Sixth Sense
• National Treasure
• High School Musical 3

Vudu, which recently integrated with Entone settop boxes and began streaming music from Pandora, offers a collection of the HD and HDX movies available for purchase in its "Explore Catalog" page.

Vudu's statement on the Buena Vista partnership:

"Buena Vista Home Entertainment is showing its continuing leadership in the creative community by embracing digital delivery and ownership of HD. Our customers have shown a strong interest in buying HD films. We are pleased to expand our HD ownership options by adding these top-quality films to our collection and offering them for both HD and HDX viewing to our users."
