Plenty of new HDMI cable designs have emerged for locking, pivoting, long distances, field termination and installing cables in awkward situations.

Ultralink/XLO is now coming out with the "flattest HDMI cable you can find," according to the company. They are just 3.3mm (about 1/8-inch) thick and 0.6 inches wide.

The new UFHDMI cables feature ultra-short connectors optimized for tight, low-profile installs.

According to XLO, the cables meet the latest 1.4 spec and are rated for for 1080p, 4k, 3D and 120Hz video.

"And we're working on an Ethernet version as we speak," an XLO spokesman told CE Pro.

UFHDMI cables feature 30 AWG OFHC copper conductors and low-capacitance gas-injected dielectric insulation.

Available in white and black, the cables come with an adjustable right-angle strain relief.

They are shipping this week in the U.S.
  • 1.0 Meter: $30
  • 2.0 Meter: $40
  • 3.0 Meter: $50
The products will be on display at CES 2010 in South Hall 2 Booth 25401 and the Venetian Tower 30-234 and 30-236.
