UltraLink XLO adds to its Ultra Series of Cables
The UltraPLUS Series of cables from XLO includes a selection of interconnect, speaker, phono, digital audio, USB and power cables that are available in a choice of lengths.
Cables are an easy thing to overlook, but when a cable fails it is a problem that is immediately noticeable. A good cable can make all the difference in the world and ultimately cabling can take a system from ordinary levels of performance to high levels of performance that are sustainable over time.
The Canadian-based manufacturer UltraLink/XLO Products designs and manufactures a vast selection of cabling products and not too long ago the company announced a new range of products. The new UltraPLUS line of products includes interconnects, speaker cables, digital coax and AES/EBU cables, as well as UltraPLUS USB and AC power cable cables.
UltraLink/XLO says the UltraPLUS cables feature the company’s XLO Field-Balanced Surface/Diving Winding Geometry to eliminate phase shift, and the Canadian company says the cables are engineered to minimize capacitance and inductance to ensure they work with a variety of consumer electronic components. UltraLink also explains that it has designed the UltraPLUS USB cables to stand up to the rigors of daily use in systems that range from desktop audio, to component-based solutions that employ DAC products. UltraLink also points out that its AC power cables feature the company’s patented Field-Balanced Surface/Diving Winding Geometry dual-gauge design that is engineered to eliminate line noise above 60Hz. Internally, the power cables also employ UP-OCC copper conductors with 12 AWG construction that is supported by a two-way, multi-gauge winding geometry with individually insulated solid-core conductors that are double-grounded to help protect against EMI and RFI noise. UltraLink builds the power cables with a choice of connectors and in a choice of lengths.
