Seen & Heard at CES 2013: ‘Nobody THINKS They Want a Yanni Demo’

The quote of CES 2013 comes from Richard Stoerger of Audio Design Associates demo'ing Yanni with high-end A/V gear.

Yanni does Playtime. I wonder if Kaleidescape has this track bookmarked.

For his Venetion demo room at CES 2013, Richard Stoerger of Audio Design Associates was flipping through tired old videos and audio tracks to demonstrate ADA’s $5,000 7.1 Cinema Rapture, RBH speakers, a Display Development projector and Screen Innovations screen, and Kaleidescape movie server.

So he went for a demo reel that you might not expect in an industry that prides itself on being hip: “Yanni’s Playtime” from the album “Ethnicity.”

When I told Richard I did not need to see or hear his Yanni demo he said, “Nobody thinks they want a Yanni demo until they get my Yanni demo.”

Classic Richard.

Here, a few integrators from Utah Audio crack up at the demo, but all agreed it was a great choice.

NOTE: Yanni is best served with a drink. Thankfully, ADA is serving 4:00 to 6:00 pm daily at Venetian Hotel, Suite 30-311.

Of COURSE we have the track bookmarked, along with all of the songs in thousands of concerts and musicals. That’s how Richard played it so easily on the Kaleidescape System in his suite.

In addition to the audio, Yanni’s trademark backward hair flips were a sight to behold on the SI screen during the demo.
