Samsung, AVAD Team Up for 3D Video Contest
Samsung and AVAD are offering $15,000 in prizes for the "I Can See That in 3D?!" contest. Integrators are encouraged to submit humorous 60-second videos to win.
AVAD has partnered with Samsung for the “I Can See That In 3D?!” video contest running through January 6, 2012. Contestants can submit a 60-second video and a 100-word or less description of why their video would look great in 3D at http://www.awesomein3D.com. Everyone who submits a video or casts a vote for a winner has a chance to win one of over $15,000 worth of prizes.
“Many people don’t know that with a Samsung 3D TV, you can easily convert 2D content into 3D in real-time with the simple push of a button on your remote,” says Jim Annes, vice president and general manager at AVAD LLC. “What better way to help spread the word than to hold a video contest! The grand prize winner will get a complete 3D electronics package so they can watch their entry and any other conventional 2D content in amazing 3D in their own home.”
Samsung’s 2D-to-3D conversion technology is available on a variety of Samsung 3D TV models.
Contest Prizes:
Contest Finalists: From the videos submitted, five finalists will be chosen, each of whom will receive a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 valued at $599.
Grand Prize Winner: One Grand Prize winner, chosen from the five finalists, will receive the following Samsung prize package valued at $3,800. The package includes one Samsung 55-inch D8000 LED 3D TV with 2 pairs of rechargeable 3D glass; one additional pair of Samsung SSG-3100GB 3D Battery Powered Glasses (assuming that’s the model glasses your providing); and one Samsung BD-D6700 3D-enabled Blu-ray Player with 2D to 3D conversion capability.
Entries will be judged on humor, originality, creativity of presentation, suitability of video for future advertising and promotion purposes and entertainment value.
