Press Release: RTI Selects The Eig Group as National Manufacturer’s Rep
Eig Group to promote RTI's entire product line throughout professional audio/video channel.

06.15.2009
SHAKOPEE, Minn. — Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI), a leading manufacturer of professional-grade, integrator-friendly control solutions, today announced that it has named The Eig Group as the company's manufacturer's rep in the U.S.

Under the agreement, The Eig Group will act as an extension of RTI's sales force while working closely with industry consultants, engineers, and specifiers to promote RTI's entire product line throughout the professional audio/video channel.

The Eig Group is a manufacturer's representative firm that caters to the pro A/V consulting and engineering community. Acting as liaison, the organization represents a select group of products and builds upon 15 years of industry experience to promote these unique solutions to the consultants and engineers who are specifying the largest projects in the pro A/V market.

"In a short time, The Eig Group has earned an industry wide reputation for integrity and unmatched technical knowledge," said Pete Baker, vice president of sales and marketing for RTI. "We are pleased to have the organization representing our product line. As we move forward with the release of our two-way and ZigBee enabled devices, The Eig Group's established relationships and wealth of industry knowledge will be invaluable assets to help us further cement our market presence in the commercial space."

"We are excited to add RTI to our line card," said Lewis Eig, president of The Eig Group. "We feel RTI's capabilities have been untapped by our industry and that their solutions bring exciting new opportunities to consultants and integrators alike who need a cost-effective, easy-to-program, and reliable solution for a wide variety of projects."

RTI offers the most extensive line of award-winning handheld and in-wall controllers and accessories available. All products are easily programmed with RTI's proprietary, award-winning Integration Designer software, a powerful, easy-to-use, Windows-based software package that allows the entire line of RTI control products to be programmed from any PC.

For complete integration in commercial applications, RTI recently announced that its control systems are now capable of two-way communications. Utilizing cutting-edge RTI control processors and wireless ZigBee technology, feedback from A/V and environmental systems is now possible for RTI's in-wall and handheld touch screen controllers. The user interface is both easy to implement and customize with RTI's renowned Integration Designer software. Integration becomes even more convenient using bidirectional communication drivers developed by RTI via its Integration Partner Program, which promotes interoperability with industry-leading partners for control of Escient media servers, Panasonic IP cameras, Lutron lighting controls, and Aprilaire HVAC systems to name a few.

This means that utilizing RTI's powerful XP-8 central control processor, two-way functionality allows RTI controllers to access the control features of other manufacturers' devices for complete facility control and integration with A/V, lighting systems, HVAC, distributed audio and video systems, and much more. In addition, RTI's new ZM-24 transceiver module supports ZigBee wireless communications, the global standard for enabling products to be wirelessly networked.
