Cineversum has introduced two new anamorphic lens kits for the BlackWing One projector, the BlackWing One Theater Concept Kit and the BlackWing One Cinemax Kit.
The two lens kits turn 16:9 projected content into 2.35 Cinemascope material.
The BlackWing One Theater Concept Kit features:
- a motorized theatre slider mechanism
- a full-glass, a precision ground spherical anamorphic lens
- a radio-frequency remote control unit and an RF emitter for a 12V trigger
The remote control unit can also be controlled by RS-232.
The BlackWing One Cinemax Kit features:
- no moving parts
- a full-glass, prismatic lens
- a fixing plate
- lens cap
Switching between 16:9 and 2.35 content is facilitated by proprietary internal TheaterMode software and controlled by the remote or RS-232.
"The big benefit with the Cinemax option is that this lens is permanently in place," says John Caldwell, sales director for StJohn Group.
"Once you've adjusted the lens -- a very easy operation thanks to the smart Cineversum bracket -- there is no need to touch it again."
Both kits are available now.
