Boston Acoustics Unveils SoundWare XS 5.1 Surround System

Boston Acoustics has introduced its smallest speaker ever — the SoundWare XS 5.1 Surround Speaker System.

The system includes five ultra-compact SoundWare XS satellites that measure less than 4 inches each and a subwoofer.

Each satellite has a 2.5-inch woofer and 0.5-inch tweeter. The subwoofer rounds out the system with a 100-watt amp and an 8-inch driver.

Other features:

• XS satellites have a polyhedron shape
• Articulating mounting bracket for flexible placement options
• Black or white finishes

Boston Acoustics, which is currently in a cross promotion with Denon for the summer, will ship the SoundWare XS 5.1 system in July 2009 in both black and white. MSRP: $499
