Nortek Merges OmniMount into Ergotron
OmniMount will continue as a consumer brand name under the Ergotron banner as Nortek formally consolidates its mount manufacturing subsidiaries.
Nortek, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTK) has formally completed the consolidation of its two mount manufacturing subsidiaries by merging OmniMount Systems, Inc. into Ergotron, Inc.
The merger of these two brands positions Ergotron as a supplier of display and entertainment mounting solutions for both the consumer and A/V pro markets, says the company. OmniMount products will remain the consumer brand within Ergotron's product offerings.
The company says in a press release that under the umbrella of one company, "the Ergotron and OmniMount brands are uniquely positioned to provide the global community with innovative solutions designed to facilitate healthier and more interactive engagement for display and entertainment systems worldwide."
The product development, customer service, manufacturing, operations and marketing will be consolidated while each brand focuses on its own distinct channel.
"Ergotron has risen through the ranks to become the top display mount manufacturer for commercial IT and healthcare markets, and our growth continues aggressively," says Joel Hazzard, president and CEO of Ergotron. "Together, Ergotron and OmniMount provide powerhouse solutions addressing customers' unmet needs. We're very excited about empowering the OmniMount brand's growth in the years to come."
"The residential market presents challenges and we're aware of the struggles that buyers and integrators are facing," says Geoff Miller, president of OmniMount. "Our access to Ergotron's exclusive technologies will revolutionize residential home entertainment with new applications and new ways for our partners to be profitable. Joining forces with Ergotron provides us with exciting growth opportunities to help our reseller, dealer and retail partners meet their customers' needs."

Ergotron is headquartered in Saint Paul, Minn., with sales offices in Phoenix, the Netherlands, Tokyo, and Singapore.
Actually, Jason, Ergotron is located across the parking lot from Capitol Sales. I’m curious as to whether the corporation will have two offices, or if consolidation will shut one of the two seperate entities locations.
Don’t know if they are closing any physical locations in Minn. I will check.
Hi Fred, good question. The existing offices will remain the same. Like Jason mentioned, Ergotron’s HQ office will stay in St. Paul with an additional NA office in Phoenix.
