NavNet to Rebrand Global Caché Products
Global Caché's iTach wireless hardware to be included in NavNet's whole-house control systems.
NavNet’s whole-house control solution is known for its unique interface.
Global Caché, manufacturers of IP and WiFi connectivity products for the control and automation market, and NavNet, a provider of control and automation solutions and creators of NavNet control software for the home, have signed an OEM agreement authorizing NavNet to modify and rebrand Global Caché's iTach connectivity hardware to be included as part of NavNet's control and automation solution.
Global Caché's products connect almost any electrical device throughout a home and business to a WiFi and IP network so it can be controlled, automated, and maintained by network-based software. The company offers other connectivity products and capabilities, including IR learning, IR receivers, and sensors, that can be connected to a network. Global Caché devices are designed to work with other standards-based products.
NavNet, known for its intuitive home automation solutions, leverages open systems and standards to offer plug and play functionality and whole-home control over music, movies, lighting, security, HVAC, energy and more. NavNet's graphically rich user interface controls a residence using in-wall color touchpanels, iPad's, and smartphones, including iPhone, Android and Blackberry devices.
"We couldn't be more pleased about our new relationship with NavNet," says Walt Keller, Global Caché president. "Partnering is the basis of our philosophy at Global Caché, and we've engineered our products and sales model to provide a seamless platform for our partners to integrate our products into their line-ups. Our aim is to provide enabling products, helping partners offer better, quicker connectivity solutions. NavNet modified the iTach and integrated the units into their impressive new control solution in record time."
"We are just returning from the CEDIA show," says Nav Dhunay, NavNet president, "where the response to our product launch was amazing. Our experience working with the Global Caché team has been easy and smooth, allowing us to get to where we're going faster. We believe in open systems and don't see any reason to reinvent the wheel when a product that lines up with our offering is so easy to incorporate into our system. We're quite happy with the product and the Global Caché integration process."
