Magnolia Partners with FTTH Provider Connexion
Connexion currently has partnerships with Circuit City and other integrators.
Connexion Technologies, the second largest deployer of Fiber to the Home (FTTH) in the U.S., has partnered with Magnolia Audio Video to bring a complete bandwidth and entertainment solution to builders, developers and homeowners.
The collaboration will allow both companies to offer technology and end-to-end customer support while giving developers the ability to upgrade entertainment systems without needing to update the telecommunications infrastructure.
"Developers, builders and operators all benefit from this collaborative, cooperative approach," says Jason Scutt, EVP of Connexion Technologies.
"This partnership will minimize redundancies, maximize efficiencies and help ensure the Fiber to the Home services work with the electronics."
"As a result of this key partnership, we believe that Magnolia Audio Video will help bring to life the enhanced bandwidth of Connexion Technologies' networks for customers through its exciting portfolio of cutting-edge AV and home control technologies," says Steve Delp, chief operating officer at Magnolia Audio Video.
"This will take the digital home to the next level."
Cary, N.C.-based Connexion already has similar partnerships with Circuit City and other integrators. The company has 17 offices nationwide.
Service providers such as Connexion have been frustrated by the low FTTH connectivity rate. Less than one in seven homes "passed" with fiber is actually connected. This is primarily due to the fact that many homeowners do not experience the full benefits of a fiber network until they have installed a home theater with HD or need to download HD movies.
By partnering with an integration company, service providers hope to boost the connectivity rate.
Magnolia Audio Video are stand-alone stores located on the West Coast.
