InfoComm CEO Randal Lemke to Retire
At end of 2012, Lemke will leave executive director and CEO positions he has held since 2000.
InfoComm International announces that executive director and CEO Randal Lemke will retire at the end of 2012.
This is certainly a blow to those who have known and worked with him for the past 12-plus years in his current position and in the years and decades before his stewardship of InfoComm.
The fact there’s a search committee in place underscores the importance of finding the right person to replace Lemke and says InfoComm is taking this process very seriously. Clearly, this is a decision that will shape the future of the systems integration industry, and the person chosen as Lemke’s successor will likely indicate the direction and focus the organization plans to take in the coming years.
Surely, Lemke will be lavished with praise over the next 11 months or so, and those plaudits are well-deserved. He’s surely to get a rousing sendoff anywhere he goes this year, likely starting later this month with Integrated Systems Europe in Amsterdam, where he serves as chairman, and continuing with InfoComm 2012 in Las Vegas in June.
