HGTV Dream Home Boasts Lutron Lighting, Shade Controls
Lutron will be working with a local integrator to outfit and program RadioRA 2 lighting control, Maestro switches, Pico remote controls and Sivoia QS automated shading to its latest Dream Home in Stowe, Vt.
HGTV’s Dream Homes always look fantastic, but are they smart?
The 2011 showcase home will be, thanks to the inclusion of intelligent lighting control products from Lutron. For this 15th annual HGTV Dream Home Giveaway—a 3,400-square-foot , ski-in, ski-out lodge-style home in Stowe, Vt.—Lutron is supplying a variety of devices, including its RadioRA 2 lighting control system, Sivoia QS wireless automated shading system, Maestro switches and Pico remote controls.
The products were jointly selected by Lutron and the HGTV design team for their energy-saving capabilities, as well for their clean aesthetics and convenience features. For example, the Sivoia QS system will enable the future owners of the residence to easily manage the numerous shades and drapes which will cover the home’s huge expanse of windows that open up to the mountain.
The custom electronics (CE) pros at Tree Ridge Enterprises, Bristol, Vt., will initially program the systems for demonstration purposes. After the winner of the Dream Home contest has been announced, the team will customize the systems to cater to the specific needs of the homeowners.
