03.20.2008 — Canton's repertoire of home theater speakers has grown, with the addition of the Movie 80 CX and Movie 120 MX speakers.

Both of the systems combine four black or silver satellite speakers with a horizontal, center-channel speaker and subwoofer for 5.1 surround sound.

The satellite speakers have filter circuits, and the subwoofers include subwoofer control technology, both reducing harmonic distortion.

The Movie 80 CX features a 3-inch, 100-watt subwoofer (bass reproduction down to 38 Hz) and a 1-inch tweeter. The center-channel features a pair of woofers.

The Movie 120 MX is similar to the Movie 80 CX, but has a larger subwoofer (capable of bass reproduction down to 33 Hz) and better output in the midrange and mid-bass frequency ranges.

The Movie 80 CX has an MSRP of $699, while the Movie 120 MX is available at an MSRP of $899.
