Another vague and seemingly absurd comment. Exactly what product are you talking about? Are you the dealer or the end user? I’m not championing any products here but my years of experience have been that with either an AMX or Crestron system they work ROCK SOLID IF, and the key word being IF, the dealer who installed and the programmer who developed the project were any good. I can’t think of any product from either of these two that simply didn’t work or were “unreliable” as you put it. However I do know many projects from BOTH that were “unreliable” but all due to the incompetence of the dealer or programmer. Plus I’d love to know exactly what your situation is that would have cost you $100K to replace?!?!
First round of AMX MAX server <—- 100k of garbage no matter who installed it.
I agree that the MAX server isn’t a great product but I’ve never heard of an install that they didn’t make right or refund the original purchase for the dealer. Just curious when Doc’s comment sounded like they walked away and left him high and dry which seems strange. Have you seen other problems like that?
About the MAX server… LOL if only i could run my mouth without fear of losing my job! “This product is not ready, it should have never left the factory”. Those are the words that came out of the guy that AMX sent to troubleshoot the MAX gear. It all got returned. <—thats how you deal with junk. Now.. when AMX pays me for the time i wasted playing with their joke i will stop complaining about it.
As for AMX walking away and leaving someone high and dry… I have 9 clients who haven’t been able to get light switches in quite a while and another dozen who reluctantly upgraded to a different product. I know, i know.. AMX doesn’t want to hear about Phast.. i wish i could take that stance with my clients.
If I win, do I have to take the Klipsch speakers?

They need to give a way something, It has cost me more than a $100,000.00 so far replacing their unreliable products with other things that work.
