06.16.2009 — Based on the buzz leading up to
InfoComm, the digital signage market is gaining steam.
Chief Manufacturing is launching a bunch of new products at InfoComm aimed at digital signage and traditional commercial video applications.
It's showing off a whiteboard mount, fixed and tilt mounts, mounting kits, an in-wall power extension system and an automated projector lift.
Here's a breakdown of the new commercial video solutions.
The Fusion low-profile, universal fixed and tilt mounting system allows for quick installation and proper flat panel placement to maximize the impact of digital signage content.
Chief's Fusion low-profile, universal mounting system is now available as a custom mounting solution and will ship in mid-June.
The custom solution is designed for specific TVs, so there isn't excess hardware to throw away, saving money. It's also designed for quick installation.
Whiteboard mounts, which are slated to ship in September, offer a variety of extension lengths. They are designed for quick installs and positioning of short-throw projectors.
Chief is also now shipping
mounting kits for its Thinstall fixed and tilt mounts. The kits come with in-wall boxes, including a Flat Panel Pre-Wire In-Wall Box (PAC520). It's aimed at simplifying installation by providing an organized, recessed space for routing excess cables and for attaching surge protectors and power conditioners.
The
PB1 In-Wall Power Extension System is designed to help installers get power where they need it by managing cables and keeping them out of sight. Chief says it allows for simply routing cables in the wall from behind the flat-panel TV down to the floor level.
Digital menuboards are supported by Fusion Series mounts, allowing easy alignment of multiple TVs and for creating digital menuboards for quick-service restaurants.
SL151 Automated Smart-Lift Projector Mount, now UL Listed and re-sized to drop directly into 2-foot x2-foot tiles, is an automated projector lift for finished ceilings in homes and corporate offices. The mount automatically lowers the projector from the ceiling so you can reveal or conceal at the press of a button.
