The high-resolution audio platform MQA has entered into a partnership with the global streaming audio service Deezer.
MQA's newly formed partnership with Deezer enables the integration of its efficient high-resolution audio technologies into the streaming service. MQA says the partnership will drive the adoption of its technologies by hardware manufacturers in the consumer electronics market.
“This partnership has great synergy as we already work closely with several of Deezer's hardware partners,” notes Mike Jbara, CEO, MQA. “We're looking forward to a close collaboration.”
Deezer and MQA point out that in addition to Deezer's flow feature, which uses smart data and algorithms along with personal recommendations to play tracks that users want to hear, Deezer's service provides consumers access to more than 43 million songs.
MQA is a technology platform that captures and reproduces the sound of original studio recordings in a file size small enough to stream without compromising sound quality. The company has signed agreements over the past 15 months with all three major labels, as well as many smaller labels to offer an increasing amount of MQA-enabled content to the public.
Integrators interested in hearing MQA can check out the technology in a number of booths during CEDIA 2017 in San Diego on Sept. 5-9.
These companies will feature MQA in their booths:
- AudioQuest (booth #4646)
- Bluesound (booth #4630)
- Meridian (booth #4329)
- NAD (booth #4630)
- Pioneer and Onkyo (booth #4500)
