Fasetto, Inc., has just achieved an industry first, being the first ever company to receive a Dolby Atmos Product Certification for a sound over power lines home audio solution. The product in question to hold this distinction is the AUDIO Cu.
According to Fasetto, the AUDIO Cu is a plug-and-play sound over power line home audio solution that decodes audio on the fly to match source material to speaker system configurations via the power lines to each channel by an AUDIO Cu amplified receiver (RX).
AUDIO Cu is also apparently able to detect noise or interference on the power lines to determine the best way to send the packets of audio to each speaker or subwoofer without any packet loss or latency. The AUDIO Cu is able to serve up to 10 channels per audio system any configuration from 2.0 to 9.1, including Dolby Atmos up to 7.1.2.
Fasetto also notes that the AUDIO Cu can handle up to 32 different channels split between multiple systems in a single environment.
The included mobile app, which works on Apple and Android smart devices, also makes it so users can set up and control each speaker or system individually and use a variety of digital signal processor (DSP) presets and listening modes.

AUDIO Cu and the Road to Dolby Atmos Certification
Before a company sells products containing Dolby intellectual property, it is required to have the products registered, tested, and their designs approved by Dolby Laboratories.
Dolby Laboratories evaluated Fasetto’s AUDIO Cu sound over power line home audio solution using its applicable standards of quality and design and awarded AUDIO Cu a Dolby Atmos Product Certification.
Dolby Laboratories’ product evaluation is a critical part of its quality assurance program; it ensures that the end user receives the Dolby experience that they are accustomed to and expect. The Dolby Atmos Product Certification enables Fasetto to legally sell its AUDIO Cu solution as a Dolby certified product.
“[The] Dolby Atmos Product Certification marks a major milestone for Fasetto and our AUDIO Cu sound over the power lines home audio solution,” noted Coy Christmas, founder and CEO, Fasetto.
Christmas was also quick to note how the release of AUDIO Cu also marks a major milestone in audio connectivity and sound engineering.
“Users can now experience high fidelity Dolby certified Dolby Digital and Dolby Atmos audio through speakers or subwoofers connected across power lines with minimal latency and exceptional sound performance. This enables users to place and connect their home audio system through power lines wherever they wish without the hassle of cumbersome speaker wires or worrying about structural and RF interference.”
Christmas even goes so far as to say that the new tech is superior to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and WISA in terms of home audio connectivity.
Fasetto also stresses that the AUDIO Cu sound solution can help greatly reduces copper needs within any audio system for a positive environmental impact. It substantially lowers the carbon footprint by reducing manufacturing pollution, millions of pounds of material waste annually, and logistic and labor-related pollution.
