RTI Rolls Out RCM-4 Ethernet-enabled Relay Control Module
RTI's new RCM-4 Ethernet-enabled Relay Control Module allows CE pros to expand the capabilities of RTI's XP series control processor by plugging into a local home network.
Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) is taking advantage of IP technologies with its new RCM-4 Relay Control Module.
RTI says installers can use the RCM-4 along with the PCM-4 port control module and ESC-2 serial control products to expand the capabilities of its XP series control processor by plugging into a local home network.
The PCM-4 incorporates four MPIO ports and a 12-VDC voltage trigger output to extend control to devices in larger installations. The ESC-2 enables installers to add two additional bi-directional serial ports, and the RCM-4 through its four relays can be used in typical open or closed configuration for control over anything ranging from window shades to screen lifts.
RTI adds the RCM-4 features an IR input to allow command triggering from a choice of sources that include RTI in-wall controllers or third-party IR repeater systems.
“The PCM-4, ESC-2 and RCM-4 allow installers to provide their clients with discrete control over devices in every room throughout an installation, while maintaining the benefits of having one centralized control system for lighting, HVAC, multizone audio and more,” says Pete Baker, vice president of sales and marketing for RTI. “By utilizing Ethernet networks and eliminating the need for multiple processors, this line of modules provides our dealers with these advantages at a dramatically reduced cost.”
All of the new products work with RTI’s Integration Designer programming software, and the PCM-4 and RCM-4 have the option of using their included power supplies or Power of Ethernet (PoE).
