Audio, video and control fanatics can argue it all they want, but the most important system in today’s home is the network. And Legrand is doing its part to ensure dealers have products that bolster the reliability and performance of their clients’ home networks.

Legrand has announced four new networking products that it says ensure fast and reliable network performance throughout the home. According to Fritz Werder, vice president and general manager, Legrand Home Systems Division, the newly released products benefit dealers, as well as homeowners.

“At Legrand, we strive to deliver the best solutions when it comes to home networking,” he boasts. “These new desktop networking products expand our easy-to-install, retrofit home networking options.”

The four new product releases include:

5-Port and 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switches: The 5-Port (DA1015-V1) and the 8-Port (DA1018-V1) Gigabit Switches are designed as high-performance, low-cost network solutions that serve as upgrades or expansion options that offer throughput speeds faster than 10/100 devices.

802.11n Wireless Router: The Desktop 802.11n Wireless Router (DA2154-V1) provides a home with broad and reliable wireless coverage with networking speeds up to 300Mbps. The wireless router incorporates dual antennas, a four-port Ethernet switch and the latest security options to securely protect network access.

802.11n Wireless Access Point (WAP): Legrand’s latest WAP (DA2155-V1) enables homeowners to wirelessly access their network at speeds up to 150Mbps. Legrand says the access point is equipped with a repeater mode called Range Extender, and Legrand claims this feature boosts signals to areas that were previously unreachable to a home’s old wireless coverage.
