Sennheiser has found at least 15 pairs of counterfeit headphones being sold online with the company’s name on the product, leading to the filing of the first wave of lawsuits in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California Sept. 20 by Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co.KG and Sennheiser Electronic Corp. Audio Pioneer Dr. Fritz Sennheiser Dies at 98

Prof. Dr. Fritz Sennheiser, whose company Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co KG was instrumental in developing pioneering audio equipment such as shotgun microphones, headsets and open headphones, passed away on May 17, just a few days after his 98th birthday, according to a notice on the company’s website. Through his Hanover, Germany-based company, Sennheiser had influence on the development of sound transmission technologies and was instrumental in forging many developments in electroacoustics and transmission technologies.
