What happens when a TV station can’t get enough cable and satellite providers to carry its content? It goes to Roku. That’s what WealthTV is doing with its lineup of travel, shopping, culinary and etiquette shows. As shows such as “Palatial Passport,” “Divine Life,” “Healthy Gourmet” and “Window to the Louvre” air live through a handful of small cable outlets, Roku users can stream the video over-the-top to their TVs. If you like the streaming capabilities of Sony Blu-ray players, you’ll love the new SMP-N100 Network Media Player. CE Pro enjoyed a sneak preview of the player at Sony headquarters in San Diego last week. This SMP-N100 Netbox has everything the Sony BDP-S570 has, minus the Blu-ray drive and plus the support of additional video formats including DivX and MKV.
