It’s been several years since iPod streaming docks were the rage, as manufacturers instead turned their attention to working with Apple’s iPad, but there’s no denying the benefits that a good iPod-based system can deliver as a single-room solution. And actually, there’s more than just good … iPod docks are prime candidates for the good/better/best scenarios, and NAD Electronics recently unveiled one for the “best” category in its VISO 1 Wireless Music System. At a recently reduced price tag of $600 (note: that’s down from the $700 mentioned in the…

Canadian manufacturer PSB Speakers picked an apt name for its Imagine Mini bookshelf loudspeakers. At first glance, it’s hard to imagine how much quality audio these Minis can put forth. But once you start listening, that answer becomes crystal clear - the Imagine Minis rock as hard as dedicated two-channel loudspeakers two or three times their size. Features With dimensions of 5.75 x 9.25 x 8.3 inches, the Minis can be plugged into various listening setups. Non-audiophiles have, for years, had lots of ammunition to criticize the audio industry when it came to loudspeakers. But that may change in 2012 with the industry emphasizing elements such as industrial design and now the physical size of its floorstanding products. Leading manufacturers, including Meridian, PSB and Thiel Audio, have introduced small-footprint speakers that incorporate many of the companies’ respective proprietary technologies in form factors more conducive to the typical American living space. Meridian’s new M6, introduced at CES 2012, is a $9,000-per-pair, digital active pair of speakers that…

Why Lenbrook America Realigned Sales Force
Robert Archer | 06/27 12:18 PM,
6 Comments
With a successful managerial track record, Lenbrook America’s newly appointed president and CEO, Dean Miller, is set to accept his latest challenge: reviving the company’s NAD and PSB brands. Approximately 18 months ago, under its previous administration, Lenbrook America downsized its dealer network and now is taking it a step further. Soon after his appointment, Miller terminated 15 of the company’s 17 manufacturer’s representatives, which quickly became a source of public criticism by the newly terminated reps. Miller says before he made the decision to terminate the reps, he took…

Robert Archer | 03/01 04:31 AM,
