Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) recently expanded its array of problem solving devices when it announced that its latest product solution, the new ESC-2 Ethernet to Serial Converter is now shipping. The Minnesota-based company says the ESC-2 works seamlessly within its Integration Designer programming software to quickly enable electronics professionals to set up a single or multiple ESC-2 modules within a control system. In another sign of the lack of awareness of the custom installation community among the general public, a new study reports that A/V retailers/custom installation companies rank a distant third as the type of contractor they would expect to offer various home technologies.
