CineTouch has lowered the pricing on its AMX-based software to make its solutions more attractive to CE pros. CineTouch says its most dramatic price reductions are for smaller systems as the prices have been cut by as much as 56 percent to help dealers offer AMX solutions in every price range. As a result of the price reductions, total dealer cost for a one-room home theater with a touchpanel and CineTouch software now starts at under $900. ISE 2012 attracted more than 40,000 attendees during the three-day event that recently concluded at the Amsterdam RAI. The commercial- and residential-focused trade show also saw the number of exhibitors increase 15 percent to 825 in the 11 halls of the Amsterdam RAI. And with more exhibitors comes more products and more, well, interesting sights. Morris Tait Associates, a manufacturer’s representative firm serving Southern California, Las Vegas and Arizona, announces the addition of two seasoned and respected industry sales representatives. John MacDonald and Scott Wallis have joined the rep firm to serve Southern California and Arizona respectively. Ashton Kutcher certainly is "winning" on the set of the CBS sitcom "Two and a Half Men". Apparently the $700,000-per-episode salary Kutcher will pull in for replacing Charlie Sheen isn't enough to woo him away from Demi Moore. Nope, the fine folks at CBS are shelling out $8,750 per week (and they said they couldn't afford Sheen) for Kutcher's ridiculous two-story, 53-foot-long, 30-ton trailer (called the Heat) that he'll hang out in between scenes.
