Over the course of the past few months Yamaha has introduced several products under its new Aventage product badge, which is designed to channel the company's pro audio engineering capabilities into a line of high-performance A/V products. Adding to its Aventage product line, Yamaha has just introduced the BD-A1000 Universal Disc Player.
This new disc player works with today's popular disc-based media formats, and it can stream Web-based media content from sites like NetFlix, Blockbuster and Youtube.com. In addition, it also incorporates front and rear USB inputs to playback portable content that's stored on USB-based drives.
Yamaha says the player incorporates lossless audio decoding that can be output via its multichannel analog and HDMI outputs, and its RS-232 serial port also enables CE Pros to integrate the component into a third-party control system.

Recently, the British company released its latest product, the Debussy, which is a new digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that can be used by CE Pros to address their clients' desires to own the latest, most technically advanced audio systems for traditional disc playback and computer based audio solutions.
The Debussy operates in asynchronous USB mode to lock the DAC and computer together, and when combined with the company's Ring DAC, which oversamples all incoming data to 5 bits at 2.822 or 3.07 MS/s, the unit is designed to be a flagship component.
In addition to its state-of-the-art circuitry and its USB 2.0 input, the Debussy also offers ES3, Dual AES and SPDIF inputs. The U.K. manufacturer also includes a digital volume control to enable electronics professionals to mate the DAC directly to an amplifier to eliminate the need for a preamplifier in the signal chain.

The PAMP-4X100 is a six-source, four-zone component that can be expanded to deliver music to as many as 12 rooms. Some of the features in the unit include a 50-watt per channel amplifier, a choice of compatible control options that include front panel volume and source selection, and compatibility with the company's PTL4 touchpanel and PLX2 handheld remote.
Additionally, authorized Crestron Electronics dealers can also set the unit up to be controlled with an Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.
