image The evolution of the residential home electronics industry is well underway with many companies transitioning from a business model that was based on business from new home construction to businesses that incorporate revenues from the home retrofit and commercial electronics markets.

Chief's latest projector market incorporates elements that can be applied to both retrofit installations and the commercial markets. The company's new Interactive Short Throw Projector Mount can be used to provide professionals in a working environment with a solution that updates their existing presentation systems or newly specified audio/video systems. The Minn.-based manufacturer says the mount features the interactive eBeam Technology from Luidia, Inc., that enables the mount to automatically transform clients' existing whiteboards into interactive presentations with projected images that can be scaled anywhere from 48 inches to 94 inches.

According to the company the mount installs quickly through its Quick-Connect System, and once it's mounted, Chief says the eBeam interactive system can be setup with both Macs and PCs.

image There's an art to designing an economical and reliable audio system that often gets overlooked by the masses. Audio Technica's ES963 three-element, multi-directional boundary microphone provides electronics professionals with an economical and efficient multi-purpose microphone product that employs three cardioid condenser elements that are housed in a 120-degree angle within the unit's housing to pick up sounds in a full 360-degree surrounding area.

The almost 50-year-old manufacturer says the ES963 microphone can be used for a variety of audio applications, including sound reinforcement, conferencing, professional recording, and television and video production.

Designed easily integrate into just about any environment, the microphone incorporates two positioning levers on the base of the unit to enable electronics professionals to re-position two of the microphone's three elements without the aid of any tools. Some of the angles the microphone can be set up for include 90/90/180 degrees between the elements, which for example allows the ES963 to be set up at the end of a conference table without losing the dialog of any conferencing participants.

Audio Technica also packages the microphone with a 7.5-meter (24.6 foot) permanently affixed output cable and it's also equipped with the company's UniGuard RFI-shielding technology, which is said to reduce radio-frequency interference.
