The Home Technology Specialists of America named its top vendors for 2011 during the buying group's 15th annual fall meeting. Absent the former executive director Richard Glikes, board members Brian Hudkins of Gramophone (Timonium, Md.) and Jon Robbins of HiFi House (Broomall, Pa.) took the mic to announce the winners. They are: Custom Vendor of Year: Sonance (Pictured: HTSA's Jon Robbins -- standing on chair -- and Sonance's Jason Sloan) Vendor of Year: Sony (Pictured: Sony's Jeff Elden, John Lin) Man of the Year: Jeff Zemanek, Lutron (Pictured: HTSA's Brian…

Users and integrators can then see the energy usage of the devices in the house and control them via web-based interfaces on computers or mobile devices. A variant of the plug-in load controller will…

Panamax M4315-PRO power conditioner
Robert Archer | 01/31 07:03 AM,
For some reason the category of power conditioning/surge protection has been one of the most scrutinized topics in all of consumer electronics. Panamax and its sister company Furman are however working to educate consumers and dealers about the benefits of a properly designed power conditioner. One of Panamax's new products is the 15-amp, M4315-PRO and it is designed to provide dealers with a product that protects their clients' electronics components, while also providing them a means to track and manage their energy consumption. The 1RU-high M4315-PRO incorporates eight individually protected…
