SnapAV has upgraded all its Wirepath Surveillance DVRs to stream live video natively to Control4. Upgraded software makes possible streaming video to display all connected cameras within the Control4 environment, including iOS apps. Other enhanced functionality includes IP control of DVR functions, including playback, and motion detection setup from Internet Explorer. Earlier in 2011, as SnapAV prepared for its entrance into the surveillance category, it conducted extensive research among its dealer base. Episode loudspeakers promotion has concluded with hundreds of participating dealers earning reward prizes based on the amount of speakers they purchased during the 14-month program. SnapAV has relocated to a new corporate office and warehouse in Charlotte, North Carolina, doubling the size of its previous Charlotte operations. The company also announced the grand opening of a Dallas, TX distribution center - its 3rd US distribution hub to date. The moves provide over 200,000 square feet of combined warehouse space. After years in the custom AV channel, SnapAV is branching out into the security market. SnapAV just announced its WirePath Surveillance line, which includes eight cameras, three digital video recorder (DVR) options, and a free iPhone app (Android is coming soon).
