Monitor Audio has dedicated a lot of its resources the past few years towards developing affordable, high-performance architectural speakers. Flying under the radar was the development of the Platinum Series, a flagship line of high-performance speakers that use Monitor's new ribbon tweeter, RDT drivers, and HiVE II bass enhancement design. The Monitor Audio Apex Series features the A10 satellite speaker, the A40 LCR loudspeaker and the AW12 active subwoofer. The A10's aluminum enclosure and baffle house a 5.5-inch C-CAM midrange driver and a 1-inch gold dome tweeter. The A40 features two 5.5-inch C-CAM drivers and a 1-inch gold dome tweeter and plays down to 55Hz.
