Centronics HCCX Transmits 1080p Over HDMI
Works with all HDMI and DVI specs and is HDMI and HDCP compliant up to 1.3b.
Centronics is launching its HCCX HDMI repeater, which transmits 1080p signals up to 30 meters (98 feet).
The HCCX, which works with all HDMI and DVI specs, transmits 1080i and 720p signals up to 35 meters (115 feet).
It’s also HDMI and HDCP compliant up to 1.3b and supports these resolutions: 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i.
Tony Pelura, Centronics general manager, says the HCCX compensates for low voltage outputs on many cable, satellite and ATSC devices.
“Long distance HDMI cables have a difficult time keeping voltage when used with other devices,” he says.
“There are repeaters available now, but most use ‘passive’ technologies, meaning that those units get voltage from such devices.”
The HCCX is currently shipping for $79.95.
