Semi-custom blueprints – $495 with “the works” – Tym launched a Prewire and System Design service in 2016. Online customers would send in their floorplans and low-voltage wish lists, and Tym would mark up the drawings with color-coded wiring diagrams and include a parts list and instructions to boot. Now the standard service is more templated, and includes most of the bells and whistles, including prewiring for Savant or Control4 for $495. Ironically, putting “everything” into the floorplan is more efficient than designing a limited wiring diagram based on consumer requests because the all-or-nothing plan is more templated and can be applied very quickly to any floorplan.
