The new Elite Screens Aeon CineGrey 5D AT series provides integrators with an acoustically transparent screen with ambient light rejecting properties.
Elite Screens' latest product is a fixed-frame projection screen for standard-throw projectors that employs a perforated acoustically transparent material encased in an edge-free design.
The company points out that its new screen product's Aeon CineGrey 5D ambient and ceiling light rejecting (ALR/CLR) projection material augments the picture capabilities of lower-output projectors by eliminating up to 75 percent of the “wash out” effect that room lighting can have on a projection image.
CineGrey 5D Screen Material Offers a 1.5 Screen Gain
The CineGrey 5D fabric is made up of a .35mm thick PVC material, and through its design, the product delivers a 1.5 gain angular reflective surface.
Elite Screens notes the screen also retains 88 percent polarization during 3D presentations while maintaining high levels of contrast.
The screen is able to mount in front of architectural speakers with just -8.0dB attenuation at 5kHz by utilizing a perforation pattern featuring 0.7mm perforations at 4mm intervals.

Moreover, the screen materials used for the Aeon CineGrey 5D AT are UL 2818 Greenguard/Greenguard Gold certified for safe indoor air quality emissions.
Elite Screens adds the Aeon CineGrey 5D AT's edge-free design omits the framework that borders many screen products, which helps dealers integrate the screen into just about any home space. Elite Screen says the smaller footprint maximizes viewing area while creating a more streamlined appearance that complements home designs.
In addition, the screen's sliding wall bracket helps to ensure the screen is centered, as well as to help expedite the setup process. The screen also has an optional LED backlighting kit.
