Designed to meet the needs of the gaming community, Optoma has introduced its new UHD55 4K UHD laser projector.
The global electronics manufacturer says that its latest home entertainment projector is capable of producing up to 3,600 lumens of brightness, as well as contrast ratios as high as 1,200,000:1, and 97% of the DCI-P3 color standard.
Meeting the needs of the gamers, the new Optoma UHD55 4K UHD Projector is also compatible with HDR formats such as hybrid log gamma (HLG), the new laser-based Optoma projector delivers low-latency image response times of just 16ms for 4K at 60Hz images and 4ms for 1080p images at 240Hz.
Some of the other features the new 4K projector offers include voice control capabilities through platforms such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Additionally, the Optoma UHD55 4K UHD projector incorporates a 1.3x optical zone, vertical lens shift, and 3×3 warping capabilities. Optoma also emphasizes that through the projector’s laser light engine, the projector eliminates the need to change bulbs to minimize maintenance costs.
Optoma says the laser light engine provides up to 15,000 hours of lamp life in the projector’s Dynamic Black Mode setting.
