Denon, a global manufacturer of home entertainment solutions, has announced its new DNP-2000NE Network Player.
The company’s latest source component is designed to complement its PMA-1700NE Amplifier and DCD-1700NE CD Player. Denon states the new DNP-2000NE Network Player offers modern homeowners a wealth of features that includes the company’s wireless whole-house audio platform HEOS. Through HEOS, users can access Spotify, Pandora, TIDAL, and other streaming services to playback their favorite songs, playlists and albums.
According to the company, its new source component incorporates the proprietary Denon Ultra AL32 Processing Plus and DAC Master Clock design technologies, and the unit also incorporates a high-precision quad digital-to-analog converter (DAC) configuration that is said to deliver high levels of sound quality.
Complementing today’s smart home lifestyles, Denon emphasizes the DNP-2000NE Network Player provides a number of network and connectivity options that include Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB and Bluetooth. The network player also provides Apple AirPlay 2 compatibility and DLNA to support wireless streaming from other DLNA devices.
Some of the other options that Denon has built into the DNP-2000NE Network Player include an HDMI/ARC input to allow professional integrators to connect their clients’ televisions to the player to display information such as album art and song information. Denon adds the ARC-enabled HDMI input also allows homeowners to control volume levels using a television or amplifier remote, which it claims can provide a more immersive audio listening experience.
The Denon DNP-2000NE Network Player can be preordered starting on May 2, 2023. MSRP for the network player is $1,599.
