Denon, Marantz and Classé are unveiling a new chapter for HEOS, the wireless audio platform that supports more than 50 audio products worldwide.

The family of home audio brands asserts that with a newly refreshed identity, as well as a newly redesigned app experience and expanded platform capabilities, “Powered by HEOS” better aligns with modern, whole-house entertainment.

As part of the platform’s 10th anniversary, the company is rolling out a new logo, along with a new app icon. These visual enhancements, Denon, Marantz and Classé conclude, reflect today’s wireless audio and its accessibility throughout the home.

History of the HEOS Platform

Recalling the origins of the multiroom audio platform, Masimo says that back in 2014 it asked a simple question: What if you could fill your home with incredible sound without wires and without compromise? That question, the company notes is what sparked the development of the HEOS whole-house audio platform.

According to Denon, Marantz and Classé from the very beginning, the mission was clear: Whole-home audio should be simple, but never at the expense of sound. HEOS, the brands continue, was built by an audio company first, so performance has always been at the heart of the experience.

Masimo Consumer suggests the platform was designed to let homeowners hit “play” and enjoy music everywhere—without confusing setups, glitchy apps, or compromises in sound quality.

Incorporation into Modern Day Smart Homes

Over the years, as the smart home has grown in popularity, Denon, Marantz and Classé contend that HEOS has mirrored that growth. Today, the company says, more than five million products are “Powered by HEOS.” From AV receivers to sound bars to wireless speakers, HEOS connects these products into a seamless ecosystem to support homeowners’ ability to listen to music throughout their homes.

Like other home entertainment platforms, HEOS has evolved through real-world experience. In December 2023, the company launched HEOS 3.0, a completely redesigned experience built on a new architecture. Denon, Marantz and Classé state the redesigned platform  delivers faster performance, greater stability and a music-first interface designed to feel intuitive from the very first tap.

The company underscores however, that evolution never stops and since that update back in 2023 it has continued to develop the platform by adding new music services, including high-resolution platforms like Qobuz, along with Roon Ready certification. The app experience has also been improved with home page customizations, centralized searches, room and speaker grouping presets and more.

Fast forward to 2025, Masimo Consumer points out that major HEOS app updates bring listeners even closer to their music to make their listening experiences more personal and more in tune with how people want to listen.
