Denon and Marantz, have announced their HEOS Built-in devices are now fully compatible with Qobuz Connect, further expanding the Harman brands’ suite of high-resolution streaming options available on HEOS products.
Known for its commitment to sound quality, Qobuz joins TIDAL and Deezer, which the platform already supports. The addition of the service provides users with more ways to experience music. Additionally, many HEOS devices have recently become Roon Ready with more to follow in the coming months, offering audiophiles even greater flexibility and performance.
A Closer Look at Qobuz and Qobuz Connect
Qobuz is a high-resolution music streaming and download platform. The service has been around since 2007, and the French company offers music in the best sound quality available (Hi-Res and lossless/CD) across every genre. The media service boasts that it is the only platform in the world to offer both streaming and downloads in high-resolution (24-bit / up to 192 kHz).
Qobuz Connect is a new feature designed to elevate the Hi-Fi experience even further. With Qobuz Connect, homeowners can control their music directly from the Qobuz app eliminating the need for third-party apps or extra remotes. Usage scenarios include the ability to effortlessly switch between devices, like switching from headphones to a full Hi-Fi system, without missing a beat.
Harman states that homeowners that already have Denon or Marantz devices with HEOS can now stream directly from the Qobuz app to their speakers or receiver with ease.
Integrators can update their clients’ Denon or Marantz devices to make sure their apps are up to date. All integrators need to do Harman explains is open the Qobuz app, tap the Connect icon, select the Denon or Marantz device to enable their clients to start streaming their content.Â
