Snap One, an industry-leading manufacturer and distributor of AV surveillance, control, networking, and remote management products for custom integrators, has announced its decision not to attend CEDIA Expo 2021, scheduled to be held Sept. 1-3 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.
The Charlotte, N.C.-based company, home to brands across myriad custom industry product categories, issued the following statement:
Like many in the industry, Snap One has been eager to attend the upcoming CEDIA Expo to connect with our business and industry Partners and show our latest product offerings.
However, recent news about the COVID Delta variant and an increase in cases has caused us to re-evaluate the risks and benefits of attending a large, in-person event at this time. Because of this, we will no longer be attending the CEDIA Expo this year. Snap One will not have a booth presence, training, party, keynote, or employees present at the show.
This was a difficult decision, and we understand it will be disappointing for many, including us. Our highest priority is keeping our employees, partners, and families safe, and helping to minimize any factors that may negatively impact businesses.
We don’t know how things will unfold over the next several weeks, but we believe it is important to make this decision now so individuals can plan accordingly.
We plan to connect with our Partners and industry representatives in the coming weeks regarding our latest company news and announcements.
2021 Stays Super Busy for Snap One
This year has been a busy one for Snap One, notably changing its name and rebranding from SnapAV and launching a successful IPO earlier this summer.
It’s been busy in terms of expanding its portfolio of solutions for its dealers too. This spring, Snap One acquired enterprise-grade networking provider Access Networks, and invested in remote network monitoring specialist Parasol, for instance.
As a supplier on the distribution side as well, the company also recently announced it would be opening four more Local Partner Stores in Georgia, Texas, Tennessee and Florida soon.
In light of COVID-19 Delta variant concerns, CEDIA Expo provided an update regarding latest health and safety measures and guidelines for show, which can be found here, and discussed more in detail by Emerald’s Brian Pagel and Jason McGraw.
