Musical Fidelity has been a popular brand with audiophiles for many years, and recently the brand through its American distributor, Focal Naim North America, introduced its B1xi Integrated Amplifier.

The company states that its latest product was developed to meet the needs of today’s user through a choice of connection options that include a moving magnet (MM) phono-stage input, coaxial and optical digital inputs, ARC, wireless Bluetooth, and three RCA line-level inputs. Musical Fidelity also points out the B1xi Integrated Amplifier provides more connection options through a variable RCA pre-out that supports subwoofers or bi-amping, and a 5-volt USB-C output that delivers power to drive components such as external streaming products.

Focal Naim North America says the B1xi Integrated Amplifier is rated to produce 60 watts into 8 ohms and 100 watts into 4 ohms, through the use of a Class A/B amplifier design.

Some of the other design elements the new integrated amplifier utilizes include a preamplifier section that employs its own dedicated linear power supply and a motor-driven, analog volume knob. Additionally, Focal Naim North America notes the B1xi Integrated Amplifier features separate digital and ARC circuit boards. Moreover, Musical Fidelity emphasizes the integrated amplifier omits Wi-Fi connectivity, a front-panel display and app control options to focus on sound quality.
