A New Segment for Product Releases Across Custom Integration: Wired In with CE Pro

Technology moves at a break-neck pace, and new releases can get lost in the shuffle. Keep up to date with the products that could shape your business offerings.
Published: February 13, 2026

Welcome to Friday, folks. In the interest of making the most out of your CE Pro reading experience, we’re spinning up a new segment covering product news throughout the week we’re looking to call Wired In.

Rather than serve as a complete replacement for all new product coverage, this will aim to consolidate a lot of the releases that might not fit in with our evolving coverage format, but still may be of interest/importance to our audiences.

In this inaugural publishing of Wired In: AWOL Vision opens preorders for their Aetherion projectors. Nightscaping starts shipping its custom outdoor lighting fixtures. And Legrand has a new TV mount catered towards America’s insatiable appetite for large-format displays.

AWOL Vision opened preorders this week on its Aetherion UST projector series, which were first unveiled at CES 2026. Preorders are available for both the Aetherion Pro and Max products.

All projectors in the Aetherion line are designed to support 4K projection up to 200 inches with 6000:1 native contrast a reported 1ms-class input latency. The Pro will reportedly offer 2,600 ISO lumens at its peak while the Max will have 3,300 ISO lumens.

AWOL touts the projectors as introducing an industry first with Dolby Vision Gaming baked into the hardware. The projectors will also offer variable refresh rates and an auto-low latency mode.

The projectors are also being positioned as affordable alternatives to that of more premium TVs at a time when the category is seeing renewed excitement over incoming RGB technology.

First introduced at the 2025 CEDIA Expo and featured in the recent CEDIA Expo Pitchfest webinar series, Nightscaping announced this week it will be shipping its Locklin series of modular outdoor lighting fixtures to the CI channel.

According to Nightscaping, the Locklin fixtures are built around application-based power bases, precision aiming knuckles, interchangeable optics and glare control modifiers to form a flexible base for simplified installations and specifications.

The onboard light engine supports lumen ranges from 175 – 425 and swaps between color temperatures of 2700K and 3000K with beam spreads up to 120-degrees. The LEDs also sport a CRI of 93.4+ as well as IES TM-30 evaluations of Rf 94 and Rg 99.

Base options include ABS and Trident stake mount bases as well as tree light, surface, gutter and can light mount bases leveraging a tool-free, twist lock assembly system and transmission mechanism for easy swaps between the different fixtures.

The news comes ahead of Lightapalooza 2026, where Nightscaping will be exhibiting alongside its Locklin fixtures.

SKYWORTH’s Canvas Elite began shipments this week for its 100-inch and 86-inch models. The product was originally introduced at the 2025 CEDIA Expo and fills a similar art TV niche as the likes of Samsung’s The Frame.

According to SKYWORTH, the TV delivers “near OLED-level performance” using a 4K UHD QD-Mini LED panel with full array backlight supporting over 1,000 local dimming zones. On the performance end, the TV reportedly hits a peak brightness of 2,000 nits.

A matte screen layer helps reduce glare while boosting contrast and color accuracy, at the same time giving the TV its unique, artwork-like appearance when displaying images in standby mode.

The Canvas Elite is one of the many art TVs released recently that aim to compete in the niche of design-forward AV equipment first pioneered (and dominated) by the likes of Samsung’s The Frame.

URC and WeatherFlow-Tempest this week announced a new integration on the Total Control platform using Tempest Weather Station devices.

The Tempest Weather Station module provides two-way communication, system feedback and device-triggered automation based on live inputs of weather conditions as opposed to previous models that worked based on passive data points.

According to URC, the integration supports all Tempest Weather Station models and is compatible with Total Control systems running Accelerator 3. The module also operates as both a Core and Interface component, allowing weather data to drive system logic while also presenting information through user interfaces.

URC does caution that before integration, Tempest devices must be configured through the Tempest web portal or app with integrators authenticating the system using a Personal Access Token and map devices using their unique serial numbers.

Once integrated, the Tempest Weather Station provides continuous access to live environmental data such as wind speed, lightning strike count and distance, solar radiation and UV index and more with automations being able to be built off the data.

Dillinger Labs started shipping its new wireless Death From Above Speakers this week following their original launch at the 2026 NAMM show in February. Additionally, the company will begin shipping its Death From Below Mk2 subwoofer.

As opposed to using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, Death From Above uses the SKAA wireless platform, which, according to Dillinger, has been custom-built for wireless audio transmissions and communication, requiring no pairing between source and receiver.

Dillinger goes on to explain the speakers focus on accurately reproducing sound from 75 Hz to 20 kHz and are designed to be used with accompanying subwoofers. Speakers can be set to Left, Right or Mono Mix audio routing with six equalization presets that the speakers are able to remember as custom setups until changed.

Chief, a brand of Legrand | AV, announced this week the launch of the Tempo Floor Support Mount—what it’s calling the next evolution of its AVSFSS mounting solution.

According to Legrand, this latest iteration is designed to support today’s larger display in environments where wall integrity is in question using a two-column, floor-supported architecture that transfers the full load of the display directly to the floor, eliminating the need to locate studs or reinforce walls.

The updated Tempo Floor Support Mount supports a higher weight capacity and accommodates single extra-large and ultrawide 21:9 displays, or dual displays up to 98 inches, with optional mount accessories, as well as an in-built storage system for cabling and other AV equipment.

Legrand states the latest iteration was designed directly from installer feedback, with David Albright, Senior Product Manager for Chief saying the new model “reflects how integrators are working today” dealing with larger TVs and higher expectations on appearance.
